Final Plans for Surgery

I know our parents will be thinking of us and this gets emailed to both sets of parents and everyone else I need to update, so posting here is easier than emailing everyone :)

My procedure is scheduled for 1:15pm tomorrow at a hospital in Arlington (I've never been to that one, except to do my pre-op tests for this surgery). Rob took the day off work and will be going with me. The three older girls are going to school and my friend Betsy is taking Jack and Eva (it turns out that children under 7 aren't allowed to come with us, so if we take Eva, Rob can't be with me either before or after the surgery). Betsy's picking the girls up from school (she lives one street over from us and we usually walk home together anyway). Her daughter, Ashley, is our babysitter and is home from school for the next little while as she broke her back, so Ashley will be there too :) Even though she can't run around, she can cuddle up with Eva and talk to Jack :) Jack is thrilled that he gets to spend the day at Miss Betsy's house!

Anyway, the procedure's supposed to take about an hour, then I'm assuming it will be another hour or two before I'm allowed to leave as they're using general anesthesia and I'll need a bit to come out of it. Jo-Jo's bringing over dinner and hanging out with us for a couple of hours tomorrow evening, then Allison will be here as she's driving up from Houston. Another friend (Meredith - one of the friends that walked the girls home when I was on bedrest last year) is bringing dinner over on Sunday.

The lady from our church who takes care of making sure people are taken care of when things like surgeries happen talked to me today asking what we needed. I told her we were all taken care of :) We are so incredibly lucky to have the friends we have! You guys are all amazing and I love you!!!

I'll have Rob update this as soon as he can if I'm still out of things :) It's supposed to be a pretty simple procedure, so we're not horribly worried. I'm more worried about leaving Eva for that long, but I know Betsy and Ashley love her and will take amazing care of all my babies :)
