So apparently calling your doctor's to have your records transferred to another doctor prompts them to actually do something to help you. I called late yesterday afternoon and the nurse that I had been trying to touch base with for several days without success has called me four times today! To be completely fair, I don't think it's all the doctor's fault. While reading up on kidney stone procedures today, I discovered that if the stones aren't causing any pain, usually the approach is to wait and see if they come out on their own. More proactive approaches are only used when their is pain involved. I don't like complaining and I don't like bugging people. In this case, that is not necessarily a good thing.
Anyway, short story long . . . my doctor is removing the stone and placing a stent this coming Friday. Not looking forward to the stent, but looking forward to having this end!
