My contractions have pretty much stopped, other than a few random ones. We are still in the hospital as they gave me the second steroid shot around 9:30pm and the dr wanted me to stay overnight afterward. It looks like we'll be sent home this morning. They managed to stop the labor for now, we don't know how long that will last - it could be anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. Getting the steroid shots (both of them) in makes us both more comfortable with the situation though as Eva won't be full-term until the day before Thankgiving (if you're counting to 37 weeks - I guess they are changing their policy here and starting to count 38 wks as full-term now and that wouldn't be until Dec 1st). Even if we can make it another few days though, Eva will be 35 wks on Wednesday, which is only a week before Jack was born, and the steroids will have had a few days to help mature her lungs. My arms and hips are sore from so many shots though, but I am grateful I didn't get to experience magnesium sulfate as I've heard that's horrible!
This was such a weird past 36 hours for Rob and I. We haven't seen or talked to the other four kids since we put them to bed on Saturday night. Since both of us were up all night Saturday (at least Rob managed to get a couple of hours of sleep in before I woke him up so we could head to the hospital), we pretty much took turns sleeping all day Sunday. As I'm in a L&D room, I didn't ask my parents to bring the kids in to visit us. I miss them! We are so grateful my parents are there taking care of them though and we know they are having a good time.
