My friend Allison was our very first visitor. She surprised us as she lives four hours away, but was visiting for the weekend :)
She took the first picture of both Rob and I with Laura ~
My friend Stacy came by to meet Laura as well :)
Betsy and Ashley brought all five kids (and Caitlin of course) to meet Laura that afternoon ~
Eva LOVES Laura! (The other kids love her too!) She calls her "baby" and followed her around the room as everyone took turns holding her. Eva was very upset when her turns were over and she had to share with other people. We're so glad she loves Laura so much! We're going to have so much fun taking care of Laura together while the other kids are in school :)
Attempts at a family photo ~
This one turned out pretty well considering there are six (!!!) children in it :)
The day was perfect! Rob and I knew the kids were being taken care of (Ashley took them over to her house after they woke up) and we had so much love and support from our friends! I couldn't have imagined a better day :) We wrapped up the evening with Rob, Laura, and I cuddled up on the hospital bed together, napping and watching tv.
Betsy sent a text telling me she is keeping the other five kids until Tuesday and to enjoy my time with Rob and Laura :) Ashley asked when Rob was going to be at our house as she had a surprise for us (she is deep cleaning the whole house as a baby present). Betsy's son, Josh, is mowing our lawn as a baby present. We've had several friends already ask if they can bring dinner over this week as well! The kids are having a blast at Betsy's, and Rob and I are getting to just soak up our time with our newest miracle :)
Laura is absolutely beautiful! It always surprises me that each of my children are so amazing :) I can (and do) spend hours just staring at them and cuddling them. Laura has her schedule a bit backwards (she sleeps for 6 hour stretches during the day, but eats literally all night long), but we'll work on that! She barely cries at all unless we're changing her diaper :)
I managed to get a rare shot of her with her eyes open :) Her nose is still a bit crooked, but that comes from having been posterior for the last few months :)
