Spring Soccer

Last Saturday both Jack and Kylie had games (pretty normal Saturday for us now). Beth had a stomach bug on Wednesday night and was not feeling well Saturday morning, so I took Jack and Kylie to their soccer games. Everyone else stayed home with Rob, which turned out to be a good thing as Eva started throwing up while we were gone. The rest of us ended up getting sick that night and the next day, but Jack and Kylie made it through their games and played well. Kylie told me after her game that her tummy started hurting in the middle of the game, but she stuck it out.

Between games, Jack shared his treat (the parents take turns bringing treats for the kids - this time they brought capri suns and cheez-its) with Kylie and they played on the playground for about 45 minutes.

Kylie, as usual, was goalie. She blocked about a dozen goal attempts and only let one through. Her team won 2-1!

We spent the rest of the weekend at home, drinking ginger ale and having Rob clean up puke (I don't do throw up and Rob is awesome and doesn't mind, plus we have found it's a lot less work for him if he just cleans it up first as then I don't make it worse by puking too). I'm so glad we're over it! I hate stomach bugs!
