All four kids were playing outside when Beth came running into the house shouting "We found a snake!!!" With images of cottonmouths and rattlers running through my mind, I bolted outside, yelling "Everyone get in the house!!!" . . . only to find Megan holding a still twitching gecko tail . . .
Kylie receiving her Hughes High Flier Award (see previous post for the story) ~
Jack after eating spaghetti. That boy still makes more of a mess than any kid I know - what other two year old would end up with a noodle on his head???
The reason Simon hangs out under Jack's chair at mealtimes ~
Picture requested by Jack, who is becoming as enamored with the camera as his sisters are - thank heavens for digital cameras!
Megan et al made this huge turkey to help decorate for Thanksgiving. That evening we noticed they updated it to reflect the new season ~
Meg and Kylie had all of last week off school. We loved having them home all day! While working on homework one day, the conversation in the kitchen behind me caught my attention. Kylie was performing a marriage ceremony between Beth and the broom, dubbed "Mr. Broomy" by Beth. I snuck a picture :)
Jack swinging on the "big kid" swing - he's growing up so fast!
Beth and Jack being dogs ~
Parents Day, Episode Two - The kids set up a cafe for us to have breakfast at, complete with a menu ~
Below the menu was a note for us, which read "Dear Parents, we all love you. We will gave you a treat because you are a "smarties" Love, MKBJ" ~
Meg reading in the playroom ~
Jack doing his favorite thing - making noise!
Kylie and Beth playing on the computer ~
The kids discovered the game "Taboo" that had been left out after the adults played it on Thanksgiving and asked Rob to play it with them. Rob did an amazing job of altering it to include everyone ("who has a purple card?") ~
I tried to get a jump on Christmas pictures this year. My friend Allison and I got all four Christmas outfits a week or so ago (from Burlington Coat Factory, which in my opinion has the prettiest dresses, plus they have dresses that match from birth thru size 14), so we had the kids wear them to church yesterday. It always proves interesting to get a good picture of all four kids at the same time. It did not help that Jack poured his drink down the front of his suit just before we started taking pictures (note to self - dress Jack last and don't give them drinks or food until AFTER the photo shoot!). We got some cute pictures, although I think I will try again and see if we can get a picture without a huge stain down Jack's front. I should have just poured water over the rest of it so it all looked the same :)
